The town council of Forcarei places its municipal facilities at the disposal of the public

PADEL COURT (FORCAREI)

All the people who want to book a time to play in the paddle tennis court of Forcarei (next to the sports pavilion), had to present the application two days in advance in the general offices of the City Council or by telematic request. This application must be accompanied by proof of payment of the 6 Euro fee for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

A Madalena Karting Circuit

A Madalena Karting Circuit is located in Soutelo de Montes. It arose to respond to a demand, increasingly on the rise among young people. A project that bets for the revitalization of the town council of Forcarei while providing an ideal space and services for the safe practice of motor sports.

The circuit was made possible thanks to the financial support of the “Excelentísima Diputación de Pontevedra” and the generosity of the “Comunidade de Montes da Madalena” which donated part of the land where the circuit is located today.

Nowadays, the A Madalena Circuit is one of the epicentres of the motor world in Galicia. All kinds of activities take place there regional, national, European and world events, driving courses, celebrations, motorbike rallies, etc.

The municipal football pitch is located in the equipment area of the urban centre of Forcarei and has modern facilities for the enjoyment of the neighbours and is suitable for inclusive sports practice.

The open-air tennis courts located in the towns of Forcarei and Soutelo, which are freely accessible and where various tournaments are held to coincide with the patron saint festivals of San Roque (Soutelo) and Os Dolores (Forcarei), are particularly noteworthy.

Two other spaces available are the municipal swimming pools which remain open during the summer campaign (from June to September) from 12:00 to 20:30 every day of the week, where, in addition to teaching swimming courses for children and adults.

Other sports venues include municipal pavilions located one in Forcarei (Paco Rubio Sports Pavilion) and the other in Soutelo (Soutelo de Montes Municipal Pavilion) where it can be practised all kinds of sporting activities from the popular futsal to skating, tennis, basketball, volleyball, etc.

The Soutelo pavilion also has a gymnasium equipped with different machines (treadmill, exercise bike, exercise bench,…). Only persons over eighteen years of age may attend this room.

Soutelo Auditorium

The auditorium of Soutelo is a place equipped for the celebration of all kinds of cultural activities: concerts, theatre plays, conferences, film proxecións, etc…

From 2021, this space will house the new Ethnographic Centre of the Terra de Montes (Cetmo). With this action, the 150 square metre premises will be divided into two differentiated spaces with an access area with a capacity for 15 to 20 people, where promotional and bibliographic material can be consulted, as well as an area for the collection with showcases for the pieces, explanatory panels and a proxetion area.

Due to its large surface area (167.7 km2) and the great geographical dispersion, our municipality has two Health Centres, located in the most important population centres: Forcarei and Soutelo de Montes.
