Monte Seixo

Monte Seixo is a 967 m high peak that belongs to the Serra do Cando. The ascent to the mountain is dominated by rural landscapes alternating between small villages, arable and pasture areas and forest crops of pine and eucalyptus. The summit of the mountain has typical “queirogais” vegetation, with views over the municipality of Forcarei. However, the summit is occupied by numerous wind turbines and fragmented by the tracks opened for access to it, so that its ecological and landscape value is greatly diminished and, therefore, does not offer an optimal environment for the enjoyment of the visitor.
